FAQs
What services do you offer?
1
We offer six core services:
1. Initial Home Inspection
A comprehensive wildfire mitigation inspection for standard residential properties. This service includes a full defensible space assessment, structural vulnerability review, and a detailed written report with prioritized mitigation recommendations and overall risk rating.
2. Estate / Large Property Initial Home Inspection
Designed for large homes (5,000+ sq ft), multi-structure properties, estates (1+ acre), or properties with complex terrain. This inspection includes expanded defensible space analysis, terrain and exposure evaluation, and enhanced documentation suitable for high-value properties.
3. Re-Inspection & Maintenance Inspection
For clients who have previously completed an Initial Inspection. We reassess the property, verify completed mitigation work, evaluate any newly installed protection systems, and provide updated recommendations based on current conditions.
4. Re-Inspection & Maintenance – Subscription Plan
A monthly subscription option for homeowners who prefer predictable budgeting. After 12 monthly payments, we automatically schedule your re-inspection. If cancelled prior to 12 payments, clients receive their paid amount toward the inspection minus a 10% administrative fee.
5. HOA Wildfire Mitigation Inspection Program
A structured inspection service for homeowner associations. We evaluate common areas, perimeter zones, access routes, vegetation management, and structural exposures that may impact the community’s wildfire risk profile.
6. HOA Home Protection Presentation
A professional, educational wildfire mitigation presentation delivered to HOA communities. This session covers defensible space principles, home hardening techniques, wildfire behavior, evacuation readiness, and practical steps homeowners can take to reduce risk.
How do I get started?
2
Getting started is simple.
1. Schedule an inspection online
Choose the inspection service that best fits your needs, and we will book a date and time through our online scheduling system.
2. We conduct the on-site inspection
An NFPA-certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist will visit your property to perform a comprehensive inspection or re-inspection, depending on the service selected.
3. Receive your recommendations
After and during the inspection, you’ll receive clear, prioritized wildfire mitigation and home-hardening recommendations tailored specifically to your property. You will receive an emailed and a mailed copy of our inspection report with all findings and recommendations clearly listed.
4. Take action at your own pace
Use the recommendations to plan maintenance, upgrades, or future improvements—immediately or over time. If you need help with finding assistance or contractors, we have a list of approved and certified contractors who specialize in wildfire protection.
Our process is designed to be straightforward, informative, and independent, giving you the clarity and confidence to prepare your home for wildfire risk.
Do I need to be present for my home inspection?
3
You do not need to be present for the entire inspection. As long as we have access to the areas being evaluated, our Wildfire Mitigation Specialist can complete the inspection independently. Many clients choose to be present at the beginning or end of the visit to ask questions or review high-level findings, but this is optional.
Who are your preferred contractors?
When is the best time to schedule a Wildfire Mitigation Inspection?
Do you provide Wildfire Mitigation Inspections for other types or properties such as HOA's, large properties, or commercial properties?
Not at all. Meaningful wildfire risk reduction can be achieved without major construction projects. Simple steps such as improving defensible space, addressing ember entry points, and maintaining existing features can significantly reduce ignition risk. Our inspections are designed to provide practical, budget-conscious recommendations that can be completed over time, allowing you to improve your home’s resilience in stages rather than all at once.

Year round! Brush fires can happen year-round in SoCal so don't wait until right before or during wildfire seasons. Many vulnerabilities to your house can be spotted and prevented year-round. Also, it may take time to correct these issues so the sooner the better.

Wildfire mitigation does not have to be expensive to be effective. Many of the most impactful risk-reduction measures involve maintenance, small upgrades, and material management, rather than major construction. Our recommendations are prioritized so you can focus first on the changes that provide the greatest reduction in risk, regardless of budget.
